The Story
A witch who would rather brew kindness than mischief.
In a tucked-away cottage where dried herbs sway from the rafters and a curious white cat keeps watch, lives Agnes Snitch - a young witch who simply isn't like the others. While the rest of her coven brews bothersome spells and tangles their toes in trouble, Agnes spends her days helping neighbours, mending broken wings, and sharing tea with anyone who happens by.
When a strange shadow falls over her quiet corner of the world, Agnes - together with her brave white cat, trusty broom, and a pinch of homegrown courage - sets out on a quest that will test what it really means to be a great witch. A warm, wonder-soaked story for little hearts who already know that being different is its own kind of magic.
The tale of Agnes is a reworking of one of the stories that Mat used to tell his (now adult) twins, when they were very young - and refused to go to sleep without a bedtime adventure to inspire their dreams. When Mat introduced Ira to the tale, and discovered her ability to bring the story to life, nothing could stop them from collaborating on the book.
